Hearts for Gaza
In October 2023, Chloé Charody Creations Ltd. launched ‘Hearts for Gaza’ - an initiative to help bring aid, food and work to the bereaved people of Palestine.
‘Hearts for Gaza’ provides food packages to starving families in Gaza as well as employment for its young people in the form of children’s entertainment, journalism, photography and humanitarian aid work. For this project, we are focussed on one specific school where 1000 women and children are currently sheltering in North Gaza.
As there is a lack of ability for aid workers to operate in Gaza safely, many workers have had to evacuate. What this project aims to do is employ the Palestinian people who are sheltering in this school to buy food (which at the moment is extremely expensive and hard to come by) to make food packages which they can then distribute to people sheltering in this school.
Since October 2023, we have successfully delivered hundreds of food packages, brought fresh water and thrown many children’s parties to lift the moral of the people in Northern Gaza. The horror is unimaginable, however we will not stop our efforts. Despite the hardship, we are still successfully delivering aid to those who need it most.
At the moment, in North Gaza, it is winter and the cold is only adding to the people’s hardship. We are currently raising money to buy warm clothes for the displaced people (most of whom are orphaned children), mattresses and blankets as well as continuing to bring in food and water tanks.
